The team is responsible for building the TikTok Ecommerce partnership for the TikTok e-commerce business in the US. We are looking for a highly analytical, business-oriented, and self-motivated intern to join the User Growth Strategy team supporting the TIKTOP SHOP EBHV (Electronics, Books, Home & Living & Verticals) business. In this role, you will work closely with Business Strategy, Category, Product, Marketing, and Data Science teams to identify user growth opportunities, support strategic decision-making, and build scalable analytics capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in e-commerce, marketplace strategy, growth analytics, and data-driven business planning. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Responsibilities: - Support user growth strategy by conducting data-driven analyses and identifying actionable business opportunities. - Analyze user lifecycle, acquisition, retention, and purchasing behaviors to identify key growth drivers. - Conduct industry and category analyses to evaluate growth opportunities across users, products, merchants, channels, and categories. - Identify high-potential acquisition products, merchants, and supply characteristics to support category growth initiatives. - Build analytical frameworks to answer business questions and translate findings into strategic recommendations. - Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze large-scale datasets. - Prepare business review materials, strategy presentations, and executive-ready insights. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Strategy, Category, Product, Marketing, and Data Science on high-impact growth initiatives. - Support ad hoc analyses and strategic projects as business needs arise.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. - Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis. - Experience using Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data analysis. - Ability to work independently and time manage high profile initiatives, curious, self-motivated, bias-for-action ("no task is too small" mentality) Preferred Qualifications - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently. [For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $23.75- $23.75.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
