Job description

Objective

Primary duty of position includes but is not limited to: the safe and courteous loading, unloading and delivery of equipment to customer sites within Indiana and surrounding states.

Responsibilities
  • Perform safety checks on trucks and equipment
  • Reporting to dispatch for delivery/pick-up assignments
  • Courteously delivering equipment to customer sites
  • Deliver and pickup equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Check equipment fuel, fluid levels and proper operations before loading
  • Rental contract, pickup tickets and damage tickets are to be filled out completely and legibly and signed by proper person(s).
  • Demonstrate the safe and correct operation of equipment at the time of delivery.
  • Notify shop lead or service manager and sales coordinator of damaged equipment.
  • Contact sales coordinator after each delivery.
  • Maintain service vehicles and shop equipment to present a clean and professional appearance and serviced every 90 days or before if necessary.
  • Fuel usage to be logged on mileage report and fuel long.
  • Storage of equipment and vehicles in appropriate manner when not in use to prevent property damage.
  • Complete any and all special assignments or project from store manager in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities typically required through a high school education with some technical training
  • Class A CDL
  • Minimum 2 years hauling experience driving a tractor trailer vehicle
  • Familiarity with delivery areas would be helpful as well as the ability to read and understand maps of the city and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening
  • Product Knowledge preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
