Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Helper to join our team at a leading heat exchanger company. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Position Overview:
The Shop Helper will assist with assembling, cleaning, and maintaining heat exchangers and related components, supporting shop operations to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the assembly, cleaning, and maintenance of heat exchangers and related components.
  • Support machine operators, technicians, and welders with material handling, preparation, and setup.
  • Perform general shop tasks, including cutting, grinding, sanding, and polishing materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
  • Assist in inventory management by organizing materials and reporting shortages or damaged items.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and work in a physically demanding environment.
