About the Job.
The Millwork Shop Labor worker will provide entry-level support across all areas of millwork, warehouse operations, and construction projects. This role is expected to uphold the organization's values while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Millwork Shop
  • Pulls orders, including cabinets, hardware, sheet goods, and finished materials.
  • Gathers materials for stock items and cabinet/flatpack assembly.
  • Keeps machines and work areas clean and organized.
  • Replace dull saw blades, sanding belts, jointer blades, planer blades, and shaper bits as needed.
  • Assists with general shop tasks, such as stocking materials, cleaning racks, and supporting other departments.
  • Cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the shop.
  • Supports the millwork crew to help maximize overall efficiency.
  • Operates equipment safely and efficiently, following proper training.
  • Follows all company safety practices and adheres to OSHA standards.
  • Performs additional tasks and processes assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Completes shop clean-up duties, including sweeping, debris removal, and workspace organization.
  • Safely operates basic hand and power tools.
  • Maintains awareness of safety requirements and reports any unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Adheres to all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and shop specific protocols.
  • Assists with quality control efforts as directed by the Supervisor.

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior field or Millwork shop experience is helpful.
  • Operating machines and tools such as: Saws, sanders, air tools, and drills.
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, extreme heat, or cold.
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Operates warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Loads and unloads of delivery trucks as needed.
  • Wrapping assembled cabinets for transport.
  • Osha 10 required for all shop associates.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:
  • Work is primarily performed in a shop production environment and on active construction sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to climb, lift, push, pull, kneel, or perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise, dust, hazardous materials, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Subject to varying weather conditions and temperature fluctuations.
  • Must be able to safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools (following proper training).

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Subject to change based on site demands)
  • Overtime and Saturday work may be required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must wear company-provided safety gear at all times.
  • Must demonstrate punctuality and maintain reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Required to adhere to all site-specific policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
