Brandt est actuellement à la recherche d'Technicien·ne chef·fe d’équipe d’équipe pour sa succursale de St- Augustin Construction et Foresterie  .

Ce poste est chargé de coordonner et de diriger la charge de travail du département du service afin d’optimiser l’efficacité et la productivité tout en effectuant des travaux de réparation de qualité; conseiller le contremaître d’atelier et le directeur de service au sujet des compétences et de la formation des techniciens nécessaires.

Fonctions et responsabilités

  • Aider à attribuer les tâches et les zones de travail aux employés du service en fonction de leurs compétences et de leurs connaissances
  • Participer à l’évaluation des demandes de réparation qui arrivent au service de maintenance et peut participer aux réparations, et examiner les demandes de réparation pour en vérifier l’exactitude et l’exhaustivité
  • Diriger et aider les techniciens et les apprentis à diagnostiquer les problèmes
  • Inspecter et réparer tous les outils spéciaux; recommander de nouveaux outils au besoin
  • Informer le contremaître d’atelier ou le directeur de service de toutes les plaintes des clients
  • Aider le contremaître d’atelier ou le directeur de service à coordonner et à organiser des réunions trimestrielles sur la sécurité
  • Peut remplacer le rôle de contremaître d’atelier en son absence
  • Prendre, s’il y a lieu, des dispositions et participer à la remise à neuf de l’équipement usagé et à la mise en place du nouvel équipement
  • Approuver, s’il y a lieu, la livraison de l’équipement au client
  • Aider, s’il y a lieu, à fournir une rétroaction sur le rendement des techniciens de maintenance et du personnel au directeur de service
  • Autres tâches assignées

Compétences requises

  • Capacité à travailler en équipe
  • Capacité à diriger les autres
  • Posséder des compétences efficaces en communication écrite et verbale et être capable de présenter des exposés en groupe
  • Capacité d’utiliser des applications bureautiques standard
  • Doit être parfaitement bilingue en français et en anglais
  • Doit être capable de soulever jusqu’à 50 livres

Expérience requise

  • Au moins 5 ans d’expérience en tant que technicien de machinerie lourde
  • Certificat de compagnon requis
  • Le permis de conduire de classe 1 est considéré comme un atout
  • Licence de chariot élévateur souhaitable

Brandt is currently seeking a Leadhand Shop  for our St-Augustin Construction and Forestry branch.

This position is responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of the Service department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work; advises makes recommendations to Shop Foreman and Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needed

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skill and knowledge.
  • Assist in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the Service Department and may participate in repairs, and review repair orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Directs and assists technicians and apprentices in the diagnosis of machine problems
  • Inspects and repairs all special tools; recommends new tooling as required
  • Advises Shop Foreman or Service Manager of all customer complaints
  • Assists the Shop Foreman or Service Manager with coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings
  • May fill Shop Foreman’s role in their absence
  • May arrange for and participate in reconditioning of used equipment and setup of new equipment
  • May approve the release of equipment for delivery to customer
  • May assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to work multiple shift patterns
  • Ability to lead others
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and be able to present to groups
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications
  • Must be fluently bilingual in French and English
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a heavy duty service technician
  • Journeyman certificate required
  • Class 1 driver’s license considered an asset
  • Forklift license preferred
