Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  • Janitorial Duties as assigned.

  • Clean upprojects including, but not limited to, cleaning pipes, lights, beams, floors, stairs, line belts, conveyors or other production equipment as needed.

  • Scrapes rusty areas, primes and paints as needed.

  • Empties trash throughout the day into dumpsters and takes to East dock.

  • Follows assigned clean-up project list.

  • May use handtruckand floorscrubberfor assorted duties.

  • Removes, empties,cleansand replaces inedible containers daily as needed.

  • Wash trees and combs.

  • Keeps department equipment clean and supplied with cleaning utensils and supplies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)preferred

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamicenvironment.

  • Paint, brushes, scrapers, mops, brooms, hoses, hand trucks, floor scrubbers, wash stations, chemicals, etc.

  • The majority ofthe time is spent intheplant environmentandwill include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Noise levelisloud in the productionareaand hearing protection is alwaysrequired.

  • Must be able tolift upto60lbs and be capable of dumping 500lb dumpsters.

  • Vision requirement of at least 20/40 for near and far vision.

Safety Equipment/Training Requirement

  • Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, respirator, PAPR/hood, hand protection, rain suit.

Mandatory Training/Competency to be Earned

  • Proper lifting, PPE,chemical specific, PAPR/hood, fall protection, respirator, PIT, Elevator
