Cath Lab Technologist

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Nashville, TN. The position is in a dynamic Cath Lab unit with a state-of-the-art environment. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

General Information Unit Specifics:
  • Number of Beds: 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)
  • Patient Ratios: 1 patient to 3 staff
  • Unit Staffing: Cath/EP Techs, Cath/EP RNs
  • Type of Equipment: GE and Philips X-ray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo
  • Documentation System: Merge Hemo and Meditech
  • Scheduling Requirements: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Floating Policy: Only float to prep and recovery
Patient Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years in a Cath Lab or related field.

Qualifications Required Certifications:
  • For Technologists: RCIS, RCES, or RT(R), ACLS, BLS
  • For Registered Nurses: Current RN license, ACLS, BLS
Requested Skill Set:
  • Must Have:
    • Techs: Experience in scrubbing and monitoring cath lab and/or EP procedures.
    • RNs: Experience in monitoring and circulating in cath lab and/or EP procedures.
  • Advanced Skills Needed: BLS and ACLS; Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience.
Procedures Performed on Unit Cath Lab:
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies
  • ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman
  • IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Pernumbra
EP Lab:
  • EP studies, pacemakers, ICDs, ablations (no cryo ablations)
  • Micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions including laser lead extractions
