Job description

You will serve as the Code 960 Superintendent in the Production Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience planning, directing, and coordinating the work of subordinate supervisor.
  • Experience influencing managers and other officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations on organizational improvements/changes.
  • Experience resolving complex problems and integration of conflicts.
  • Experience with negotiated agreement procedures and shipyard instructions to ensure maintenance of discipline and morale.
