Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met.
  • Develop Hanwha Philly Shipyard reporting system to meet the changing management needs.
  • Develop the accuracy and quality of Hanwha Philly Shipyard reporting system (including individual reports) to the level needed for Hanwha Philly Shipyard management.
  • Develop the work-methods of Hanwha Philly Shipyard reporting system to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop the IT-system usage rules to meet the reporting needs.
  • Develop the work methods to reveal quickly all possible discrepancies in reporting, using charge number, etc.
  • Execute all periodical reports in a timely manner and with high quality.
  • Coordination with the shipyard's Finance, Design and Production departments, with Project organization and with other planners.
  • Support BOM ordering process by linking relevant BOMs to the Project Hierarchy.
  • Schedule and update the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on periodically earned value incorporating Production, Testing & Commissioning, Engineering and Procurement progress.
  • Participate in Project Management Schedule meetings with customers when applicable.
  • Develop reporting, follow-up & project control routines related to the Engineering process, to support HPSI Management, Project Management and primary line departments.
  • Preparation of various types of reports needed for Hanwha Philly Shipyard Management, Engineering, Procurement, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science Degree (Emphasis Mathematics, Finance or Engineering) preferred.
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Shipbuilding industries preferred.
  • 1-3 years' work experience of using ERP systems and basic office tools, and of making management reports.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel including but not limited to PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX / MATCH, data tables, and VBA.
  • Advanced Software skills (ERP, MS Office).
  • Scheduling experience in Primavera P6 / MS Project preferred.
  • Basic knowledge/experience of Project Based Engineering and Production preferred.
  • Basic knowledge/experience of modern shipbuilding process and terminology preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties performed in an office area environment within a manufacturing facility. Responsibilities will require routine fieldwork in the shipyard's fabrication shops, dry docks, and onboard vessels as part of the above activities. These heavy industrial settings may include; noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fume, and smoke, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.
