Job description

Job Title - Shipping Specialist
Shift: Days/Seasonal
Job Purpose
Shipping Specialists prepare items for shipment. Some of the responsibilities may include wash, etch, vial and label items to be placed in our warehouse, according to company specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Vial and label tools to be put into the warehouse and/or to send to customers
  • Review packing lists, wrap tool orders and consignments to be sent out
  • Use shipping vendor software (Fed EX, UPS) to label packages for delivery
  • Enter WIP orders into inventory system
  • Issue correct tooling to fulfill work orders being sent to the production floor
  • Pull customer orders in preparation for shipment and/or going to the production floor
  • Etch the tooling according to blueprints specifications provided (if assigned)
  • Inspect tooling in accordance with blueprints and work orders to ensure customers are receiving correct tools
  • Inventory management of finished products
  • Perform chemical wash process procedures for all types of tooling (if assigned)
  • Maintain documentation of professional achievements and growth within provided resources to actively participate in our progressive review process with supervisor
  • Maintain 5S and a neat and clean work area

  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Education/Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer use skills, required
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and training documents
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Caustic tool wash equipment

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, caustic wash chemicals, airborne particles, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees are occasionally required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
