Summary:

Responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory and warehouse activities. Provide high value customer service through real time logistics, accuracy in shipments and inventory, quality packaging and work completed in a timely manner.  

Responsibilities of the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for accurately shipping and receiving materials into and out of our warehouse to fulfill purchase orders and customer sales orders. This includes picking, packing and shipping of products along with crating and skidding as necessary. Duties will include properly learning and utilizing the computer software for Pro Seal Service Group and our regular logistics partners. 
  •  Manage and maintain Pro Seal inventory for accuracy, organization and cleanliness. Provide inventory control functions such as bin labeling and cycle counting. 
  •  Stage materials for customers “ship complete” orders and on-going pump and seal shop repair projects. 
  •  Loading and unloading delivery trucks, UPS, FedEx and our own service vehicles with fork truck or crane. 
  •  Maintain “non-conforming” inventory area per our process and continuously monitor to ensure proper disposition and attention. 
  •  Provide current ship status of products to internal and external customers. 
  • Must properly operate and regularly maintain the tools and equipment of the trade. 
  • Shall perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner and shall work in a manner consistent with safety of self and others at all times. •
  • Shall be willing to work overtime hours should conditions arise. 
  • Identify current and future warehouse tooling and equipment requirements. 
  •  Make regular inspections of the work area, building and equipment assigned to him/her during the week.  
  • Shall achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, in-service and workshops conducted by Pro-Seal and/or other approved agencies. 
  • Must work in accordance with the principals and procedures outlined in the QPI manual. 
  • Responsible for housekeeping in warehouse area. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management.  

Qualifications of the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Must possess experience in shipping / receiving and warehouse operations. 
  • Must have basic understanding of the theory and operations of modern warehousing operations. 
  • Must have the skills necessary to use the various products, tools and machinery required for highly accurate shipping, receiving and warehousing. Rigging of heavy equipment is required. 
  • Must be able to follow written/verbal directions from the Purchasing Supervisor or the respective designee where applicable. 
  • Must display knowledge and initiative in maintaining safe and clean conditions in and around the warehouse area. 
  • Individual must be a proactive, confident and self-directed person focused on customer service and project completion. Must have pleasant and courteous manner and be able to relate well to customers, vendors, Pro-Seal employees and all groups using the building. 
  • Ability to stay organized, work productively and efficiently is required. 
  •  Must be able to maintain composure in emergency situations. 
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s driver’s license; DOT safety card, fork truck license and crane operator’s license.
