We are searching for the best talent for QC Incoming Coordinator located in Gurabo, PR.

The QC Incoming Coordinator is responsible for sampling, inspecting, and approving Packaging Components. Also responsible for testing Packaging Components and some Raw Materials.

The Coordinator must ensure compliance with all quality control policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate the timely release of high-quality products to support the supply chain process. Failure to effectively perform their functions may lead to product recall, production delays, and/or back-order status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and executes (when necessary) sampling, inspection, testing, and approval activities of Packaging Components in accordance with internal and external regulations, policies, and supply chain cycle time goals.

  • Ensures that the sampling and testing of Raw Materials is performed in compliance with internal and external regulations, policies, and supply chain cycle time goals.

  • Coordinates and executes (when necessary) the inspection of labeling, quantity, and material or product to be shipped.

  • Maintains a well-organized Retention Room.

  • Audits the Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Compliance Receiving Report of Raw Materials and Packaging Components in accordance with internal and external regulations, policies, and supply chain cycle time goals.

  • Keeps accurate and organized records of all work performed.

  • Collaborates with the Technical Development group during the validation activities and transfer of new products.

  • Assigns appropriate disposition to materials/products through the Computer System within established cycle time and schedules.

  • Verifies data/results generated by another Incoming Inspector as a Peer Reviewer.

  • Maintains and controls documents in safe files, ensuring that active records are protected.

  • Comply with the goals of the quality team and overall business and process goals.

  • Follows Safety and Environmental procedures in all areas.

  • Adheres to the principles of conduct expressed in the Company Credo and policies.

  • Coordinates and performs other duties as necessary to support the supply chain process.

  • Support Internal and External Audit process as applicable.

  • As an Environmental Trainer Auditor, the following responsibilities apply:

  • Acts as a member of the OMP ISO 14001 Team, providing support to the Environmental Management System Coordinator in implementing, training, and improving the EMS in their operational area and other required activities.

  • Conducts monthly environmental audits in their operational area.

  • Delivers environmental talks to their operational area on a bi-monthly basis.

  • Conducts weekly inspections of chemical cabinets in their operational area.

  • Assists in conducting semi-annual Environmental Management System audits at the Gurabo site.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree or BS Natural Sciences (with a major in Biology or Chemistry preferably) is required.

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical GMP Environment is required, preferable in the Incoming Area.

  • Availability to provide support by working in external locations as per business needs is required.

  • Knowledge of SAP, eLIMS applications is preferred

  • Forklift certification is desired.

  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or other work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • This position may require up to a 10% of domestic and/or international travel.
