Description

The Receiving Supervisor has a very important role in ensuring product integrity of seed received at the plant. Other essential job functions may include but not limited to:

  • Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company Quality Management System
  • Verifying hilum purity, moisture content, contaminants and mechanical damage by performing a soak test on every truck load of seed received prior to unloading
  • Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity
  • Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment
  • Ensure product integrity by avoiding variety mixtures in receiving bins
  • Assist in coordinating seed arrival from on-farm storage. This may require communication directly with growers via phone/text.
  • Assists the Conditioning Supervisor and Conditioning Operator in the conditioning tower as needed
  • May supervise other employees in the receiving area
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

  • Reliability
  • Ability to perform tasks safely
  • Compliance with location policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform physical labor, Lift greater than 50lbs
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Knowledge of routine and preventative maintenance preferred
  • Communication skills and experience preferred
