The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a Part-Time Shipping and Receiving Shift Clerk who supports the daily operations of the University Campus Store's shipping and receiving department. Responsibilities
Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations during assigned shifts.
Provide guidance, training, and support to shipping and receiving associates.
Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of merchandise, materials, and supplies.
Verify received items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipment documentation to ensure accuracy.
Sort, label, organize, and stock merchandise in designated storage locations.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination.
Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage and receiving areas.
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and periodic audits.
Maintain accurate inventory records and identify inventory discrepancies.
Safely operate shipping and receiving equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
Follow departmental and university safety policies and procedures.
Monitor workflow and ensure established procedures and operational standards are followed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, vendors, and campus partners regarding shipment status, inventory levels, and operational concerns.
Provide professional and responsive customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Assist customers and departments with shipping, receiving, and inventory-related inquiries.
