We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support our warehouse, inventory, and production operations. In this critical role, you will ensure the efficient flow of materials, parts, and finished products through accurate shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration. Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting warehouse and production activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring products and materials are received, stored, documented, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time.


Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving
  • Process and coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
  • Package, label, and ship finished goods and serviced products in accordance with company standards.
  • Handle domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with hazardous and dangerous goods shipping activities following established safety guidelines.
  • Load and unload materials, products, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Inventory & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records within ERP/MRP and shipping software systems.
  • Verify, track, and report inventory transactions and product movement within internal systems.
  • Perform parts picking, inventory organization, cycle counts, and material replenishment activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and partner with purchasing and warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstock conditions.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, missing materials, or shipment errors.
Team Collaboration & Operational Support
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to support operational goals.
  • Match and process customer repair returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and parts storage area.
  • Support warehouse and production activities through cross-training and additional responsibilities as business needs require.
  • Ensure all orders, transactions, and documentation are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes and documentation.
  • Proficiency with shipping software, Microsoft Office applications, and computer-based systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management practices.
  • Forklift operation experience (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Experience operating pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately manage records, documentation, and inventory transactions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience shipping hazardous or dangerous goods (training available for qualified candidates).
  • Experience working in a small-team manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
