SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK Eglin AFB Open Position Request Number: R-70-26 CLASSIFICATION: Shipping & Receiving Clerk; CBA Rate $20.26 Hourly GRADE: Non-Exempt; Regular Full-time LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL - On Site POSTING DATE: Internal Applicants (07/14/2026) / External Applicants (07/20/2026) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Shipping and Receiving Clerk will process incoming property and material. Match items to purchase request and/or purchase order and process accordingly. Assignments require a working knowledge of the supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced. Shipping and Receiving Clerk will have general knowledge and experience in warehouse operations and shipping and receiving. GENERAL DUTIES: * This position works with guidance from the Section Lead. * This position performs limited aspects of supply management such as material pick up, inspection, delivery, storage, cataloging and utilization reporting related to depot, local or other supply activities. * Duties generally require verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles; and preparing and keeping records of materials and equipment shipped. * Fill customer orders and assist customers with incoming equipment and material. Job Requirements OTHER DUTIES: Position performs other functions as needed such as general housekeeping of assigned work area, work-center safety monitor, vehicle upkeep, etc. May be required to pick up, inspect, deliver, inventory and update records. May perform duties as a courier, to include pick-up and delivery from off-site locations and warehouse duties. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a high school graduate. Candidates must be capable of performing mathematics applicable to inventory and recording of routine supply transactions. Should be familiar with the use of electronic-based collection systems to input data and produce reports to obtain the desired results. Must have good attention to detail as this is required to match purchase records with delivery receipts to ensure property received meets ordering criteria. Customer service experience is highly desired. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. Operation of government owned vehicles is required, must have and must maintain a current, valid State driver's license and qualify for a government driver's license. May perform duties as a courier, to include pick-up and delivery from offsite locations and warehouse duties. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Will be required to work both inside and outside under a wide range of temperature and humidity and must be capable of operating various kinds of mechanized material handling equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires bending, stooping, standing and climbing. Normal duties require extensive lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds and transporting heavy items using a hand-truck or forklift.
