Job description

Description:

K&S Manufacturing is a privately held, financially sound and growing company seeking Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. In business since 1974, we are a vertically-integrated leader in the field of metal fabrication. We are primed for continued growth and expansion through laser cutting, brake forming, robotic and manual welding, stamping, machining, and tool and die. 


The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, preparing, tracking, and shipping products and materials while maintaining accurate records and an organized work area. This is a full-time position on 1st shift (5am-2pm) or 2nd shift (2pm-12) including a 2nd shift, shift differential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, scan, and process incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and return goods.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, dimensions, and other shipping requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including weights, charges, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Process advance shipping notices (ASN) and coordinate shipments.
  • Load and unload trucks safely.
  • Organize and route materials to storage, manufacturing, or outside processing locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements:
  • 2–5 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with scanning, packing, labeling, and shipping products.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience using Excel, Word, and shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Experience processing Advance Shipping Notices (ASN).
  • Experience coordinating shipments and outside processing.
  • Experience with electronic inventory and shipping systems.
