Job description

Job Duties:
  • Unloads shipments from vendors or transportation companies.
  • Verifies quantity of items against packing slip or purchase order; notes discrepancies and passes information to Purchasing Department.
  • Enters items received into MAS 500 or Cribmaster.
  • Accesses Machine Shop work orders, picks up their product, enters product into inventory and closes out work order.
  • Separates items for quality control inspection and stows in specially designated area of stock room.
  • Once items for Quality Control inspection are approved, enters items into inventory.
  • Delivers items to individuals from incoming shipments
  • Receives items for shipment from Inventory Controller/Kitter or from Machine Shop.
  • Packages items for shipment which may entail calls to vendors for weight or special instructions; produces shipping labels.
  • Coordinates incoming and outgoing transportation; sends invoices to Accounts Payable Department.
  • Occasionally performs cycle counts on supervisor designated items.
  • Occasionally transports items to other buildings or outside storage shed dependent on need.
Job Requirements:
  • Related experience and/or training preferred
  • Training and/or experience to include Hazmat, crane and forklift operation, MAS 500, Cribmaster and UPS system.
