Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Inventory Specialist handles all duties relative to merchandise (general merchandise, parts, and accessories) receipt and shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all duties related to merchandise.
  • Ship and receive departmental and/or dealership inventory.
  • Assist in the maintenance of inventory accuracy and control inventory related records.
  • Create special orders as directed by the manager.
  • Notify appropriate department when special orders or back-ordered items are received.
  • Assist with periodic inventory cycle counts as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist with organization and cleanliness of inventory area.
  • Receive and stock incoming inventory as well as verifying receipts against purchase orders.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Automotive parts experience is a plus but not required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer competency and basic math skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
