Description
Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a Full-Time Inventory Control Technician to add to our expanding team based at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas. The Inventory Controller will assist the Director of Operations and JWA Sales team with all inventory and equipment ordering responsibilities.  This person will assist with the organization of equipment and supplies in the storage on property, as well as keep the rental inventory (R2) accurate and maintained.
This is a Full-Time, hourly, non-exempt role, eligible for overtime. The shift and hours will vary depending upon business needs and may include some weekend work.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Maintain, organize, and track to ensure the accuracy of the JW Marriott Austin inventory.
  2. Work to prepare and roll out new inventory and order cases for new equipment.
  3. Assist with equipment maintenance, repair process, and equipment retirement.
  4. Ensure paperwork for shipping and receiving of inventory is complete and accurate.
  5. Coordinate with driver(s) to ensure appropriate delivery and pickup times are maintained.
  6. Oversee and maintain all equipment storage areas on property.
  7. Maintain on-site inventory of consumables and other event supplies.
  8. Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance.
  9. Aid order writers to ensure equipment is properly reserved and tracked.
  10. Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure success of Markey’s events.

Requirements
  • Prior working knowledge of R2 computer system preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with management and peers. 
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Prior working knowledge of a wide range of event technology equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and implement assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to delegate as needed and ensure completion of said tasks.
  • Detail oriented team player, committed to accomplishing a common goal.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Desire to work toward continual improvement of processes.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
