Material Handler Pay Rate and Hours:
  • Pay: $17-18/hr, DOE
  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 1st shift 7:00am-4:00pm
Material Handler Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to support our Shipping & Receiving operations. This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, pulling and staging orders, verifying incoming and outgoing materials, and operating various types of forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Material Handler Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operate multiple types of forklifts, including: Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Rough Terrain Forklift, Sit-Down Forklift
  • Load and unload LTL and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials against manifests, purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately store inventory.
  • Maintain organization of warehouse and yard areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced shipping environment, especially during peak truck arrival periods between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
Material Handler Qualifications:
  • Previous material handling, warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts required; experience with cherry pickers and reach trucks is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and verify shipping documents, manifests, and purchase orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including unloading trucks by hand when necessary.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
