Job description

 
JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Shipping / Receiving Clerk, you will ensure the on-time flow of goods and materials from Receiving into inventory, and from our Manufacturing to our customers.

RESPONSBILITES:

  • Reviews all orders with the Warehouse Lead to ensure that all specific customer needs are met prior to shipment
  • Receive Incoming Shipments and ensure correct number of components are present
  • Maintain organized, current paper files to ensure others can locate paperwork quickly Route products to departments
  • Register Damaged or Defective items 
  • Compare the amount and identification numbers of components against order
  • Attach Identification cards to containers and components
  • Operate equipment such as forklift, overhead crane, pallet jacks and more safely and efficiently
  • Assemble wood containers
  • Accountable for creating and maintaining a safe working environment 
  • Monitor and respect tool and equipment calibration
  • Input component data into system
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility
  • Must have basic mathematical skills, a strong eye for detail and good verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • This position is performed in a shop environment. 
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a logical and effective manner.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling. 
  • Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 60 lbs. 
  • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time. 
  • Work in both cold and hot climates. 
  • Work in or near industrial hazards. 
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role.
