Midwest Transit Equipment seeks qualified Full-Time Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our Nixa, MO location.

Description: Working in the warehouse, the Clerk is responsible for shipping parts to customers and receiving product into inventory. This is a safety-sensitive position. Employees holding this position are responsible for the safe performance of job duties, including but not limited to the safe operation of tools and vehicles. Employees holding this position are responsible for their own safety as well as that of co-workers and any other individuals that Employee comes into contact with during his/her employment.
Requirements:
  • Pull, package, and ship maintenance repair parts and supplies to various customer locations in accordance with company order policy
  • Enter accurate shipping information into UPS Worldship system
  • Complete shipment information in the company software
  • Receive packages daily from UPS and FedEx
  • Scan received product into inventory system
  • Communicate with Supervisors of inaccurate orders received
  • Use ladders to pull orders and put away received inventory
  • Safely drive and operate Forklift to move pallets of stock around the warehouse
  • Access, review, and understand Safety Data Sheets for proper clean-up and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Strict observance of and adherence to all safety policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion in a timely and safe manner
  • Forklift Certification required
    • Must be able to pass Company written and driving forklift safety training
  • Knowledge of UPS Worldship preferred
