What You Will Do

  • Performs the inspection on components, parts, and/or products as prescribed by applicable specifications, technical data requirements, and instructions.

  • Inspects complex and precision electronic, optical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical, mechanical production assemblies and rework.  

  • Performs electrical and mechanical in process checks and analysis of complex and precision parts and assemblies, wiring, continuity, and component checks that utilize the knowledge of electronic theory and circuit analysis.

  • Inspects various composite and fabricated parts, developmental and engineering prototype hardware, and micro electronic circuit assemblies.

  • Performs required inspections/measurements and data collection of purchased in-process and final product/materials. 

  • Verifies hardware to comply with work instructions.

  • Uses verification techniques including product/process auditing as required.  

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).

  • Must be able to work any designated shift to include overnight.

  • Two (2) years of experience in any of the following:

    • Experience or equivalent technical/educational training.

    • Inspecting rework and/or various types of complex assemblies in an electronic manufacturing environment.

    • Inspecting electronic, electromechanical sub-units or systems.

    • Experience in an industrial or commercial warehouse performing receiving and shipping inspection functions and working with contracts/purchase orders.

    • Experience in inspection of parts and assemblies for conformance to specifications.

    • Experience reviewing and inspecting suspended manufacturing items to assist in creating non-conformance reports.

  • Experience in reading blueprints or equivalent using precision measuring equipment and working from various quality standards.

  • Must have basic computer skills, (e.g. Microsoft Office products, manufacturing requirements planning, MRP).

  • Must pass dexterity and vision assessment.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance prior to the start date.  U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
