Job Summary

City Brewery in La Crosse, WI, has immediate opportunities for Forklift Operators in our warehouse department. This position is responsible for warehouse operations, shipping, receiving and driving a forklift to move product within a warehouse, receiving pallets of full product from packaging lines and loading a semi-trailer. You will also ensure accurate information is updated in the warehouse management system.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Load and unload pallets of full goods onto semi-trailers using a sit-down forklift.
  • Utilizing a hand-held scanner to ensure the correct product is received and/or loaded.
  • Inspect forklifts before each use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with weight and safety regulations.
  • Assist with warehouse organization and general housekeeping duties.
  • Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, warehouse coordinators, drivers, supervisors & managers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Properly enter inventory into the warehouse management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year forklift experience in a warehouse loading trailers required.
  • High school diploma, GED, HSED or relevant work experience required.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual that is able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, often loud manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teammates of varying skills and backgrounds.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work any and all shifts, weekends and overtime as assigned.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screening, functional capacity exam and background check.
