Job description

Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire a foodservice lab/quality technician on a temporary basis with a local foodservice manufacturing company.

Job Title: Quality/Lab Technician -** This is a temporary position for 3 months**

Wages/Hours: $20/hour 9:20 PM - 5:20 AM - possible training on first shift for 2 weeks

Job Duties:

  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for truck-loading procedures are consistently adhered to.

  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for freight receiving procedures are consistently adhered to.

  • Ensure the warehouse is properly organized and that products are scanned into correct locations.

  • Read ingredients and count bags on pallets.

  • Complete necessary paperwork to ensure all documentation requirements met during shipping/receiving process.

  • Mentor new Warehouse/Forklift Drivers.

  • Floating to different locations as needed in the warehouse

  • Contact with Production, Inventory, and Quality Assurance to obtain and provide information.

  • Contact with federal/state/regulatory inspectors on an annual basis.

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Protocol.- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.- Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages.
      • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.

  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
