Position Summary:
This is a distribution center position that requires the execution of daily warehousing activities to meet team goals in order-fulfillment, inventory control, quality, and shipping. This position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to support company growth objectives.

Essential Functions:
  • Commit to FIELD's Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
  • Perform general shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties including physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.
  • Requires regular bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting, and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
  • Responsible for daily receivables of UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, and containers.
  • Responsible for daily shipment responsibilities including VMI, Discreet, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and LTL.
  • Safe operation of all material handling and distribution center equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Utilize scales, scanners, and labels to accurately pack and ship parts.
  • Read order details and manage paperwork effectively.
  • Respond to requests from account managers and office staff for hot orders and expedited shipping.
  • Troubleshooting of shipping and/or technical issues.
  • Meeting daily shipment responsibilities, including VMI, Discreet, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and LTL.
  • Ensuring work areas are clean and organized.
  • Participation in the continual development and improvement of distribution center standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting other team members and/or performing other duties as needed.

Education, Skills and Experience Required:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • 2 years + in a shipping, receiving, or distribution center operation.
  • Proven track record of results.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Prior experience with a variety of material handling equipment.
  • Prior experience with RF Scanner.
  • Ability to count accurately, read digital numbers, and decipher paperwork details.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Customer service focus to expedite orders and respond to requests.
  • Strong time management skills, detail oriented, and commitment to quality.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.
  • Ability to drive results without a great deal of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Additional Skills Preferred:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience in blueprint reading is a plus.
  • Previous Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience.
  • Previous fastener knowledge.
