Summary/Objective 

The Shipping & Receiving Helper performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. This includes grinding, inspecting, and packaging. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

·         Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor

·         Cleans and inspects parts

·         Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages

·         Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes

·         Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues

·         Place finished goods on the designated pallet

·         Maintain a clean and safe work area

·         Drive part-time local deliveries and pickups.

·         Other duties and responsibilities as required


Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Must be able to work outside in harsh weather conditions.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the standard hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m Overtime, Saturdays, as well as the possibility of altered shift hours due to varied work demands may be required at the request of your supervisor.

No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous production experience. High school diploma or GED.

·         Fluent in English, must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. residency and at least 18 years of age

·         Must have a valid California Driver’s License

·         Must pass pre-employment safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen. Please be aware that the company has a comprehensive drug policy, which includes random testing
