Shipping Box Builder/ Shipping & Receiving

Clinton Township, MI


Prestige Extreme Machining and Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Shipping Box Builder to support our Shipping & Receiving operation. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience building custom wooden shipping crates, skids, and packaging for industrial or aerospace components.


Responsibilities:

  • Build custom wooden shipping crates, boxes, pallets, and skids for aerospace and industrial components.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and secure lumber and other materials according to shipping requirements.
  • Safely operate nail guns, screw guns, table saws, chop saws, and general carpentry tools.
  • Prepare materials for finished products for shipment.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading, unloading, organizing, and preparing shipments.
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
  • Maintain an organized and safe shipping, receiving, and work area.
  • Perform general building and facility maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties related to shipping, receiving, and general shop support.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience building shipping crates, boxes, pallets, or wooden skids is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to safely use power tools, including nail guns, screw guns, table saws, and chop saws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow measurements and instructions.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and position materials and components.
  • Dependable, hands-on, and willing to assist wherever needed.
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
