The Shipping Associate is responsible for handling, packaging, and shipping finished goods and materials in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of products while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Print labels 

  • Label boxes 

  • Scan boxes into system 

  • Weigh finished pallets and document for BOL’s 

  • Handle and move packaged goods safely and efficiently. 

  • Build and ship sample and customer orders according to specifications. 

  • Perform general cleaning and maintain a sanitary work environment. 

  • Receive and ship products using proper handling techniques and computer entry systems. 

  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation. 

  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks); forklift experience is a plus. 

  • Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to management. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. 

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English. 

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); inventory experience is a plus. 

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (45–55°F) for the entire shift. 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. 

  • Knowledge of product safety and food handling standards preferred. 

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus. 

  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required. 

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a cold, fast-paced production and warehouse environment. 

  • Requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. 

  • May require overtime or weekend shifts depending on operational needs. 

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
