 Description: Plastic Molding Manufacturing - America's Technology Molder is experiencing continued growth and is in search of talented staff to join our team! We are currently seeking a Shipper Assistant for our Cranston, RI facility to verify/keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform shipping and receiving of all product
  • Operate forklift or hand trucks to move and hoist materials to proper departments or areas safely
  • Ship products according to the customer direction with attention to customer details
  • Pull material for production job need on the floor and put away material when job is done
  • Utilize stretch wrap banders to secure skids for shipment
  • Maintain inventory levels of all shipping materials and supplies
  • Coordinate arrangements for pick-up by customer determined carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc).
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Management team
  • Maintain safe work areas and equipment by following all prescribed safety regulations
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Previous IQMS or equivalent ERP system
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping systems
  • Attention to detail including customer special requirements
  • Able to learn international shipping requirements
  • Ability to utilize/operate equipment (PB crimp tools, stretch wrap bander, forklift)
  • Must be able to safely lift 50+ lbs as well as crouch, stoop, stand, etc. for long periods of time
