Job description

Location: OKC

Shipping Specialist Payrate & Hours:
Payrate: $18-$19/hr
Hours: 7:00am - at least to 4:30pm, later depends on business needs

Shipping Specialist Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping experience, strong carpentry skills, and the ability to safely handle materials and equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Shipping Specialist Responsibilities
  • Prepare, package, and ship products according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Build custom shipping crates and wood framing to protect products during transit.
  • Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely.
  • Accurately measure materials and crate dimensions using a tape measure.
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure trucks are loaded properly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and shipping carriers.
  • Assist with other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.
Shipping Specialist Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of shipping experience.
  • Experience building wood crates and custom shipping frames.
  • Strong carpentry skills.
  • Previous forklift operating experience.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to communicate, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to work until 4:30 PM daily, as needed, based on truck arrival schedules.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a warehouse environment.
Shipping Specialist Preferred:
  • Overhead crane experience.
This is a temp to hire position.
