JOB DESCRIPTION: SHIPPING ASSOCIATE

Summary

To ship all Gemini products to customers accurately and in a timely manner. This position will support Geminis sales force and our customers by providing excellent service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be able to read all picking lists thoroughly and have a clear understanding of all containers (size, weight, etc.).
  • Utilize a variety of machines for shipping and customer support purposes.
  • Pull product from warehouse accurately and efficiently.
  • Enter information into Assistics and or X3 computer programs.
  • Be able to identify raw material codes and understand what each one is used for.
  • Must be able to understand how the color computer works and how to adjust any variances.
  • Need to be able to visually see color variances on different substrates.
  • Must work closely with Quality Control to ensure batch accuracy.
  • Inspect Equipment before operation.
  • Follow all safety rules and assure work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Work with employees to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
  • Report for all scheduled shifts on time and return from breaks and lunches in a timely manner.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Basic Math skills
  • Effective communication skills (i.e. reading and writing)
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Basic computer skills
  • Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner and dress according to acceptable standards set by the company.
  • Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity, and honesty.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
