Location: Clare, MI
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Shipping/Receiving associate to join our team in Clare, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to directly manage the flow and accounting of all produced or ordered materials to and from StageRight, ensuring quality and accuracy.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Shipping/Receiving associate, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Shipping and Packaging: Account for the correct quantity, description, and size of all produced goods, and properly package these items for safe and secure transportation to the appropriate destination.
  • Receiving and Quality Check: Compare purchase orders with packing slips to receive, examine, accept or reject, and transport all incoming materials, ensuring exact quantities, quality, and correctness.
  • Forklift Operation and Safety: Operate a forklift safely and report any repairs or unsafe conditions, while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
In addition, you will also be expected to record all shipping information on a Shipper/Packing List and return a signed copy with the work order back to the team leader.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Capable of lifting 70 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to achieve a StageRight forklift operator's permit.
Skills:
  • Computer Skills (QAD): Ability to use a computer and QAD for essential tasks like managing inventory and documentation.
  • Language Skills: Ability to interpret work orders, schedules, packing slips, and safety manuals, and write necessary reports such as shipping papers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations for accurate accounting.
