Overview:

Seeking a reliable and detail oriented Shipping Assistant to support daily shipping and receiving operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper packaging, and smooth movement of materials throughout the facility. If you enjoy a fast paced environment and take pride in accuracy and organization, this is a great opportunity to grow within a production setting.
What You’ll Do
  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to determine shipping priorities and required methods
  • Assist with daily workload, ensuring proper packaging and labeling of finished products
  • Coordinate shipments to and from outside vendors
  • Communicate missing or unclear shipping details on job tickets
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper condition
  • Direct movement of shipments from receiving areas to storage or production
  • Help standardize procedures to improve departmental efficiency
  • Assist with resolving errors and customer complaints
  • Provide coverage in other areas of the department as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
