IT'SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Store Manager to join our team. The Retail Store Manager will oversee the store's operations, sales, and visual standards to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of retail programs and overall store success.

Lead Store's Daily Tasks:

  • Oversees the daily sales and back of house operation and ensures sales objectives are met.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Holds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.
  • Makes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, discipline and termination for assigned functions.
  • Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training and engagement of Sales Associates.
  • Follow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT, by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.
  • Must be proficient in product knowledge.
  • Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.

Recruit Great Talent:

  • Responsible for proactively networking/recruiting qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions. Identify internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.
  • Interview and select candidates based on IT'SUGAR'S core values.
  • Onboard, train and coach Associates/Supervisors and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.

Achieve Sales Goals:

  •  Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.
  •  Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.
  •  Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture in the Store, ensuring Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT'SUGAR selling training programs.

Manage Store Operations

  • Oversees all operational standards, including the timely execution of pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving and maintenance of inventory accuracy and product flow.
  • Oversee the execution of store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintains allocated budget within the store.
  • Ensures the store follows all visual guidelines and supports the brand image.
  • Oversees the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.
  • Maintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
  • Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the store leadership team and escalates to HQ as needed.

Requirements

What you need to join the fun:

  •  High School diploma or equivalent.
  •  3-5 years of retail experience.
  •  Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment required.
  •  Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  •  Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
  •  Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  •  Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
