Job description

Echodyne is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate with extensive experience in both Domestic and International shipments.
ROLE OVERVIEW

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day logistics operations, including material handling, inventory control, and domestic/international shipments. This hands-on role works closely with Production, Engineering, and Sales to ensure accurate, timely movement of materials while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shipping

  • Pick, pack, and prepare internal, domestic, and international orders.
  • Generate shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and airway bills.
  • Book and track shipments through carriers such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS and third party freight companies.
  • Ensure export compliance and prepare customs documentation (EEI, SLI) when required.
  • Label and palletize freight shipments according to best practices.

Receiving

  • Receive inbound shipments and route to inspection, inventory, or end users.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Process transactions in NetSuite and other ERP systems.

Additional Duties

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational needs.
  • Identify and recommend workflow improvements.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain organized warehouse storage areas using 5S and lean principles.
  • Move materials throughout the facility (up to 50 lbs).
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL).
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic export documentation and compliance.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, shipping portals).
  • Attention to detail with accurate data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience handling ESD-sensitive materials.
  • Knowledge of customs processes and Incoterms.
  • Associate degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
