Job description

Shipping/Receiving Associate
Rockford, IL. $18/hr. W2  – 1.5x pay ($27/hr) over 40 hours

Required Skills:

  • Previous sit-down forklift experience required
  • Experience using handheld scanners and warehouse tracking systems
  • Shipping and receiving experience required, including knowledge of bills of lading, inventory control, part numbers, and material distribution
  • Ability to safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull inventory from warehouse racks and staging areas for outgoing shipments
  • Unload incoming freight and transfer materials to designated warehouse storage locations using manual labor and forklifts
  • Load outbound trucks using forklifts and manual material handling as needed
  • Verify shipments, part numbers, and documentation for accuracy
  • Assist with general warehouse duties including unloading and stacking cardboard, racks, baskets, and other materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Day Shift: 40-50 hours a week expected
                Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 2:30 pm
                Some Saturdays 4:30 am – 10:00 am or 12 pm
  • Job orientation (paid) will occur every Friday from 9:45 am – 3 pm.  Start the following Monday.
 Requirements:
  • All applicants must pass a 4 panel Drug Test (DOES NOT TEST FOR THC) and Background Check 
  • All applicants must have Steel Toes Shoes/boots.  (Safety glasses, ear plugs, metatarsal shoe guards will be provided)
  • Job requires standing for 8 hours and lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation
