Job description

Location: Fort Worth, TX, US

Job Date: Jul 21, 2026

Summary

Celestica is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Logistics Supervisor to lead and manage all daily receiving and/or shipping operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in warehouse or logistics supervision, with proven proficiency in managing material transactions, customs documentation, and inventory integrity. This role is essential for maintaining the continuous, accurate flow of components for complex manufacturing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Management: Supervises areas including receiving, distribution, traffic, finished good picking, shipping, offsite warehouse, packaging supplies and control of inventory. Directly supervise and organize the daily activities of material handlers and clerks within the designated area (Receiving or Shipping). Manage shift scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
  • Receiving: Oversee the accurate and timely unloading, inspection, system-recording, and put‑away of all inbound materials. Ensure immediate resolution of discrepancies with Purchasing and Quality teams.
  • Shipping & Fulfillment: Manage outbound logistics, including final packaging, carrier staging, and documentation.
  • Customs & Compliance: Review and verify all shipment documentation (inbound and outbound) to ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws, escalating complex issues to the Logistics Manager.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Systems: Ensure all material transactions are accurately and immediately recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP/MRP. Directly support the Inventory Analyst by investigating transaction errors related to receiving or shipping processes.
  • Safety & Security: Enforce all company safety protocols, procedures, and material handling policies. Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure the secure handling and storage of all materials and finished goods.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the receiving or shipping process. Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology (e.g., 5S, error‑proofing) to enhance throughput and quality.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a formal supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Direct experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics center. Familiarity with managing the handling and documentation for high‑value electronic components is required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong practical experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and transaction processing in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Solid understanding of dock operations (shipping/receiving), material handling best practices, and basic import/export documentation requirements (e.g., Incoterms, HTS codes).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train operational staff in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work Environment: The role is split between a professional office setting and frequent time spent in warehouse and dock areas. Requires interaction with material handling equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Requires frequent walking, standing, and the ability to work in an environment with moving machinery. Must ensure the proper use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Typical Education
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
