Job Description
The Speed Lane Lead/Caption is the shop manager for tire and oil related services. The speed lane lead works with the Store manager to achieve shop goals, enforce process and procedures, and ensure shop quality and efficiencies. Demonstrates "Lead from the Front" leadership qualities and work ethic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures inventory is put away daily and in the correct place.
- Drives efficiencies Work Quality, and Work Ethic.
- Oversee all tire-related services, including installation, balancing, rotation, repair, and replacement, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times.
- Lead and support a team of tire technicians, providing hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance on proper procedures and efficient work practices.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and defects; accurately assess the need for repairs or replacements and make recommendations to customers and sales staff.
- Maintain and calibrate tire service equipment, ensuring all tools are in safe working order and promptly addressing any maintenance needs.
- Ensure inventory of tires, supplies, and related materials, are put up and is organized, accounted for, and readily accessible for daily operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations, promoting a clean, organized, and safe work environment for the team.
- Ensure all work orders consist of all services performed, including detailed inspection reports, maintaining clear and accurate records in accordance with shop procedures.
- Ensure collaboration with sales staff to communicate findings, recommend products or services, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Monitor and drive shop efficiency by identifying workflow improvements and upholding standards of work quality and professionalism.
- Assist in onboarding and training new hires, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to perform independently and successfully.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support overall store operations
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid driver's license
  • 2+ years leadership experience or 5+ tire lane and oil experience
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
  • Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
  • Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
  • Ability to use common hand tools, lifts, tire equipment and various other machines needed to complete tasks
  • Ability to inspect vehicle components for functionality and safety
