POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, Paid Acquisition owns paid channel strategy and budget allocation across search, paid social, display, video, and connected TV. This role is a core driver of Ship&Play's Direct B2C growth engine - building the acquisition machine that lets customers find and book with Ship&Play brands without a partner in the middle. The Sr. Manager sets bid strategy, audience segmentation, and testing priorities, and manages the day-to-day relationship with Ship&Play's paid media agency partner(s).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own paid channel strategy and full budget allocation across search, paid social, programmatic, video, and CTV in partnership with VP of Growth Marketing.
  • Manage the paid media agency relationship, including evaluating channel specialization or consolidation as the program scales.
  • Direct bid strategy, audience segmentation, and creative testing roadmaps in partnership with the agency.
  • Report on CPA, ROAS, and paid channel contribution to revenue targets across the brand portfolio.
  • Partner with Brand & Creative to brief and source paid creative assets that convert.
  • Partner with Analytics, MarTech & AI Enablement on attribution modeling, audience data, and testing infrastructure.
  • Support cross-sell acquisition strategy across ShipSticks, ShipCamps, and ShipSkis audiences in partnership with Lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and pilot new paid channels and formats as the direct-to-consumer engine matures.
  • Forecast and manage paid media spend within the marketing budget's acquisition allocation.

DOMAIN EXPERTISE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years managing paid media budgets across search, social, and display/video, ideally including agency management.
  • Strong command of bid strategy, audience segmentation, media mix modeling, and multi-touch attribution concepts.
  • Comfortable managing a P&L-adjacent budget and defending ROI to leadership.
  • Experience scaling a direct-to-consumer acquisition channel is a strong plus.
