Job description

We're looking for a High-Velocity Senior Engineer with 10+ years of experience who can independently design, build, and ship software products. This role is for someone who is looking to bring their experience from traditional development to the new era of agentic product development. We are looking for an individual who likes to move fast, drive innovation, and bring clarity to ambiguity.


You will own problems from concept through production, often with minimal direction.

The Role

Your primary project will be supporting the end-to-end advancement of our proprietary shipper TMS for Ally's customers. You will leverage tools such as Replit, Cursor, and Claude to ship new functions and features. Our focus will be to make a frictionless shipper experience with emphasis on UI/UX and strong integrations. This role is a hybrid of product management and engineering. You will get to define what the new age of software development looks like alongside Ally's CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, build, and ship high-velocity features for Ally's proprietary shipper TMS, with a focus on usability, performance, and reliability
    • Translate real-world logistics workflows into intuitive, scalable software that customers rely on daily
    • Act as both product manager and engineer-identifying opportunities, defining requirements, and executing without waiting for perfect direction
    • Leverage modern development tools (Replit, Cursor, Claude, and similar) to rapidly prototype, test, and release new functionality
    • Collaborate directly with the CEO and internal stakeholders to shape product strategy and define the future of software development at Ally
    • Drive UI/UX decisions to create a frictionless shipper experience across web-based tools and integrations
    • Build and maintain strong integrations with internal systems, carriers, and third-party logistics tools
    • Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term scalability
    • Monitor production systems, identify issues, and proactively improve stability and performance
    • Continuously iterate based on customer feedback, operational insights, and business priorities
    • Bring clarity to ambiguity by breaking down complex problems into actionable solutions and shipping quickly

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      A successful candidate must possess the following traits/skills:

      • 10+ years product engineering experience
      • Proven ability to build and ship full-stack applications using Replit or other vibe coding platforms
      • Experience owning projects independently with minimal oversight
      • Understanding of how logistics workflows actually operate
      • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
      • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
      • Experience managing business priorities and the intersection of the business and its technology
