ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is hiring an LCMS Sales Specialist to own and grow a regional Life Science sales territory, specializing in Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry instrumentation. Youโ€™ll be the face of Shimadzuโ€™s innovation to customersโ€”driving sales, providing training, conducting demos and acting as a trusted expert in complex technical environments.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Drive sales to achieve or exceed assigned regional goals for LCMS products
  • Perform product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase Shimadzuโ€™s capabilities
  • Conduct instrument installations and customer training
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support across the LCMS portfolio
  • Develop and deliver application strategies, assist with customer sample analysis
  • Report market trends and competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams and support regional sales personnel on closures
  • Maintain demonstration units and manage application lab resources

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience with LCMS instrumentation
  • At least 1 year of technical sales experience
  • Exceptional communication, application troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This role is an exempt, full-time position that is benefits-eligible. Detailed information on each benefit, including providers and costs, will be provided to candidates during the final interview stage.

Shimadzu offers 10 paid vacation days, 8 paid personal days, 8 scheduled holidays, and 3 floating holidays in the first year of employment. (Note: Residents of California and Puerto Rico will have the 8 personal days substituted with state-required sick leave hours on a per-pay accrual basis.) After one year, employees are eligible for a generous short-term disability program, with 100% of the monthly premiums covered by the company. Employees are insured at 100% of their salary for the first 6 weeks and 66.67% of their salary for weeks 7โ€“12.

The starting salary range for this position is $96,000 to $98,000 annually, with compensation paid on a semi-monthly, exempt salaried basis. Additional variable compensation includes a commission plan based on sales territory performance, paid each payroll period. A discretionary year-end bonus may also be provided based on overall company performance.

The offer package includes a company car with a fuel card, subject to a $55 per pay deduction for personal use. A company phone is also provided, fully paid by the employer, and can be used for personal purposes while remaining 100% company property.
