Shields Auto Center in Rantoul, IL is currently looking to add an additional Experienced Vehicle Detailer to our team. We are a family owned Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchise dealer. We sell new vehicles in addition to a wide selection of quality pre-owned cars, trucks, vans, and SUV's.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be able to efficiently and effectively multi-task, while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be professional and work well with others
  • Must have strong work ethic and attendance
  • Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to complete other duties as assigned from management
  • Must have a have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to pass a reference check and drug test
  • Previous experience in automotive vehicle detailing is preferred, but will train the right individual
  • Must be available to work until 7pm or later, until the last vehicle is sold for the day
  • Must be able to quickly perform a retail delivery detail (wash vehicle, clean windows, vacuum interior) in a fast paced, time sensitive fashion
  • Must be able to operate a digital camera and take good, quality interior/exterior vehicle pictures
  • Must be able to apply paint protectant products as requested
  • Must be able to pay close attention to vehicle condition/damage and note any issues when performing new vehicle check-in's
  • Must keep the vehicles on the lot organized and keep the lot clean from garbage, rocks and debris
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, walking, couching, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
