Job description

Product Owner

Deposco is seeking a Product Owner to join our core product team. This role offers a unique opportunity to use your software aptitude and passion for technology to contribute in a collaborative team environment. Duties include research and gathering detailed business requirements, documenting user stories, and collaborating with development and quality assurance teams in an Agile environment to build and release innovative software solutions. The right candidate enjoys team collaboration and is very comfortable working hands-on with AI tools and software solutions—specifically in the areas of e-commerce, order management, inventory management, application integration, APIs, and shipping. Successful candidates for this role could see multiple advancement opportunities within the Product team or in other teams like sales engineering.

What You'll Do
  • Use your skills to research the market on your own and with AI tools to bring valuable data and deliverables to the entire product team which contribute to enhancing our software solutions.

  • Working in a collaborative environment across product and engineering, establish and execute processes and procedures with new tools to improve team productivity. Take complete ownership of your projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met with consistent quality.

  • Gather detailed business requirements, use AI tools to build prototypes to share with the market, and document user stories for new product features.

  • Collaborate with software quality assurance and development teams in an Agile environment using business requirements and design artifacts. Organize with the broader team to deliver new solutions and features on schedule.

  • Conduct training across departments using detailed expertise on product features, including defining the training scope for a new release of the solution and assisting with the development of training materials.

  • Partner with our Business Development team in engaging with sales prospects by converting go-to-market plans into valuable solution demonstrations and sales materials that will directly influence sales. Also create materials to train partners and consultants so they are ready to implement your new features.

  • Release new feature enhancements to the market by executing product packaging and go-to-market activities. Act as a key subject matter expert on our products and the industries they serve.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, or a related degree, with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.

  • 2 years of experience developing, supporting, or implementing application software in any of the following areas: e-commerce, order management, inventory management, application integration, API's, and shipping. Hands-on expertise with supply chain or e-commerce software solutions is desired.

  • Experience or interest in a software product management role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality.

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.

  • Strong team and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and collaborate with team members both technically and functionally. Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivation and a passion to learn. A proven track record of dependability, showing up for your team and maintaining steady performance.

  • Execute detailed tasks in order to meet defined goals. An eagle eye for quality control, ensuring small details don't slip through the cracks.
