The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of company products to customer locations and distribution centers. This position ensures compliance with all DOT regulations, maintains accurate logs and records, performs vehicle inspections, and represents Echo Lake Foods professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.

- 70% drop and hook.

- Home most nights of the week, unless OTR, then home every weekend.

- Quarterly performance bonus.

- Hourly pay, paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely transport and deliver products to customer destinations according to assigned schedules.

· Unload products as required and obtain delivery documentation and signatures.

· Maintain accurate driver logs and DOT-required records.

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

· Report vehicle defects, accidents, violations, or equipment issues.

· Verify bills of lading and shipping documents for accuracy.

· Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading positions safely.

· Ensure cargo is secured and transported safely.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and internal teams.

· Comply with all company safety, food safety, and DOT requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

· Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.

· Minimum of 2-years of verifiable experience.

· Current DOT Medical Card.

· Clean MVR and acceptable driver qualification history.

· Ability to comply with DOT standards including Hours of Service, logs, and inspections.

· Good communication skills and professional demeanor.

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Climb in and out of trucks, bend, reach, and lift as needed.

· Safely couple and uncouple trailers.

· Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and fluid inspections.

· Fuel tractors and refrigeration units.

· Perform thorough inspections of tractor and trailer equipment.

· Read and interpret maps, GPS directions, and delivery routes.

· Sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
