Job Summary:
RIT Solutions, Inc. is seeking a talented and highly motivated Application Developer to join their global team supporting ETF processes at Investment Management. The role involves designing and developing applications for ETF Portfolio Managers and Operations teams, as well as providing Level 3 support for existing systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain applications for ETF Portfolio Management and Operations teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build ETF middle-office and front-office platforms.
• Participate in Agile practices, including Scrum events, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Pair Programming.
• Provide ongoing Level 3 (L3) support, troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
• Ensure code quality and application performance through rigorous testing and optimization.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of design patterns (e.g., Dependency Injection, MVC, MVVM) and data structures.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular and React; TypeScript and UX design experience are a plus.
• Experience working with XML, JSON, and Unix environments.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation and task execution.
• Strong experience with T-SQL, including normalization/de-normalization, performance tuning, and locking mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Experience in the investment industry, specifically with ETF trading and portfolio management, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus to collaborate with users, vendors, and global teams.
Preferred:
• BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development.
• Experience with UX design and financial systems.
