Shift Hours (includes 20 min paid lunch; Monday-Friday workweek)

 

1st shift:   6:00 am – 2:00 pm

2nd shift:  2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

3rd shift:  10:00 pm – 6:00 am

 

"We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $20.00-$26.00/hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.”

Position Summary:

The Wire Shell Tip Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment used in the production of shell tips for wire products.  This role ensures quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met while supporting daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate wire shell tip machinery according to production specifications
  • Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished shell tips for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on machines
  • Maintain proper documentation of production counts, scrap, and downtime
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Coordinate with team members and supervisor to meet production targets
  • Report any equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns promptly
  • Performs other functions as required.

 Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 2+ years of Wire EDM experience required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and  troubleshooting skills
  • Must have basic knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection equipment and techniques
  • Basic shop math skills required
  • Working knowledge of reading basic blueprints and/or operation sheets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with small precision parts
