Job Description

Role: Tech Lead (Should have Personal Lines Actuarial Knowledge) 

 Responsibilities 

  • Work with business analysts to convert the business requirement into Technical 
  • Create high level design and solution road map 
  • Code review 
  • Prepare low level design 
  • Participate in project planning and provide tasks for the track 
  • Provide estimates as and when required 
  • Onsite-offshore co-ordination 
  • Prepare implementation plan in various environments 
  • Provide status to project manager 
  • Participate in architecture review board 
  • Support testing efforts (QA/UAT) 
  • Provide warranty support and transition to support 


Qualifications
  • Strong development skills in Oracle PL/SQL 
  •  Development skills in Unix Shell scripting 
  • Any of these is a plus - VB, .Net knowledge, C++, ETL (Informatica PC and B2B) 
  • Has work experience in Insurance Industry ( Personal lines and Actuarial knowledge is a strong positive) 
  • Good understanding of scheduling tool and process - Autosys 
  •  Experience in developing Technical tasks for project plan 
  •  Experience with estimation ( High level and detailed estimation) 
  • Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and is capable of understanding and communicating in Data Warehouse environment 
  •  Very good in communication skills - Can clearly communicate with business community as well as technical forums (Architecture forums) 
  • Experience with developing high level and low level design 
  •  Experience leading a technical team and setting right expectation 
  • Experience working in onsite-offshore model
