Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience developing learning solutions in various formats.
  • Experience with on-premises virtualization, hybrid cloud architectures, or Kubernetes (GKE) cluster administration.
  • Experience with private data center operations, edge computing, or air-gapped network security controls such as firewalls, proxy environments, or identity federation.
  • Experience collaborating with technical subject-matter experts.
  • Experience using generative AI tools to assist in the development of learning content.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Certification in Google Cloud, Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or equivalent industry credentials.
  • Experience with air-gapped operations, cryptographic key management, or sovereign cloud regulatory frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, IL5/IL6, or regional European sovereignty standards).
  • Experience designing, evaluating, or strategizing generative AI implementations or content development efficiency solutions for scalable technical training programs.
  • Experience creating lab activities, isolated sandboxes, virtualized labs and interactive simulations using the e-learning development tools.

About the job
As a Technical Curriculum Developer for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), you will design, develop, and maintain technical learning content and curricula for specialized hybrid and sovereign cloud roles. These include Deployment Engineers, Infrastructure Operators, Platform Administrators, Application Operators, Security and Network Engineers, and Field Technicians who need to deploy and manage Google Distributed Cloud workloads.
In this role, you will have the ability to translate intricate hardware, systems networking, and private-cloud software orchestration documentation into effective learning curricula. You should have a strong grasp of on-premises virtualization, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, secure networking, and sovereign compliance requirements, as well as standard instructional design methodologies. You will enjoy keeping their systems administration, edge computing, and hybrid architecture skills sharp while driving training innovation across secure environments.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $141000 - $206000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Design and build multimodal, learner-centric training content (e.g., instructor-led training, e-learning, labs, and job aids) leveraging the ADDIE instructional design framework.
  • Develop expertise in Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Connected and Air-Gapped solutions-including hardware, local platforms (GKE, Storage, VPC), and Gemini on GDC-to drive effective customer training strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product management, hardware engineering, site operations, and security compliance to seamlessly integrate technical capabilities into the curriculum.
  • Conduct precise needs analyses to scope and define learning projects specifically tailored to the unique requirements of highly secure, air-gapped, and sovereign cloud environments.
  • Establish best-practice standardization across all technical curricula by applying agile methodologies and leveraging Generative AI to revise content, scale efficiency, and elevate quality alongside rapid product innovations.
